Welcome to Royal Roastery. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of royalroastery.com, our online store, retail cafés, products, communications, and related services.

Throughout these Terms, "Royal Roastery," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Royal Roastery. "You" and "your" refer to the customer, website visitor, purchaser, or other person using our services.

By visiting our website, creating an account, subscribing to communications, placing an order, purchasing our products, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or placing an order. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our website or services.

1. About Royal Roastery

Royal Roastery offers specialty roasted nuts and seeds, coffee, sweets, desserts, chocolates, gelato, gourmet gifts, café products, and related food and beverage products through our website, retail locations, and approved sales channels.

Certain products or services may be available only online, at particular cafés, during specific seasons, or in limited quantities.

2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

By using our website or placing an order, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into an agreement or are using the website with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to use our website and services only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Use the website or our services for fraudulent, harmful, abusive, or illegal purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, customer accounts, systems, or networks
  • Introduce viruses, malicious code, automated scraping tools, or other harmful technology

4. Product Information

We work to keep product descriptions, photographs, pricing, ingredients, sizes, packaging, availability, and other information accurate. However, errors or differences may occasionally occur.

Product photographs are provided for illustration. Because many products are handmade, freshly prepared, naturally grown, packaged in batches, or subject to supplier changes, the product you receive may vary slightly in color, appearance, arrangement, texture, packaging, or presentation.

Royal Roastery reserves the right to:

  • Correct errors or omissions
  • Update product descriptions and other information
  • Change prices
  • Modify or discontinue products
  • Limit available quantities
  • Cancel an order affected by inaccurate information

If we cancel a paid order, we will issue any refund required under applicable law and our Refund Policy.

5. Product Availability

Some products may be seasonal, limited quantity, handmade, locally prepared, or available only at select Royal Roastery locations.

Website availability does not guarantee that the same item is available at every café. In-store and online selections, prices, promotions, and inventory may differ.

We may limit quantities, discontinue products, refuse an order, or restrict sales to particular customers, locations, or geographic areas when reasonably necessary.

6. Food Allergens and Dietary Information

Royal Roastery products may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including:

  • Tree nuts
  • Peanuts
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Wheat
  • Soy
  • Sesame
  • Other food allergens

Products may be prepared, handled, stored, or packaged in facilities and environments where allergens are present.

Customers with food allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions should review available product information and contact us before ordering. Ingredient formulations and supplier information may change.

Although we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from a particular allergen or from cross-contact. Product statements such as halal, vegan, vegetarian, gluten-conscious, or similar descriptions do not constitute medical advice or a guarantee that a product is suitable for every individual.

7. Orders and Payment

When placing an order, you agree to provide accurate and complete billing, shipping, pickup, contact, and payment information.

All prices are listed in United States dollars unless otherwise stated. Taxes, shipping charges, delivery fees, service fees, and other applicable charges may be added at checkout.

Payment must be authorized before an order is processed. We may delay, hold, or cancel an order if payment is:

  • Declined or incomplete
  • Reversed or disputed
  • Flagged for suspected fraud
  • Associated with inaccurate information
  • Otherwise unavailable or unauthorized

You authorize us and our payment processors to charge the payment method provided for the full amount displayed at checkout.

8. Order Acceptance and Cancellation

An order confirmation acknowledges that we received your order. It does not guarantee final acceptance, availability, or fulfillment.

We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel an order for reasons including:

  • Product unavailability
  • Incorrect product or pricing information
  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized payment
  • Delivery or shipping restrictions
  • Customer account issues
  • Unusually large or repeated orders
  • Operational or safety constraints
  • Violation of these Terms

If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will issue the appropriate refund to the original payment method. Processing time may depend on the bank or payment provider.

Once an order has entered preparation, packaging, or fulfillment, it may not be eligible for cancellation or modification, particularly when it contains food, customized products, gifts, cakes, or locally prepared items.

9. Shipping

Shipping eligibility, charges, carriers, and estimated delivery times may vary by product and destination.

Free standard nationwide shipping may be available for qualifying online orders of $100 or more when the offer is displayed on our website. Unless expressly stated, free shipping does not include expedited service, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, international destinations, or other excluded regions.

Orders for Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or other destinations not supported at checkout may require advance arrangements and additional charges.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Shipping may be affected by:

  • Carrier delays
  • Weather
  • Holidays
  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses
  • Restricted delivery locations
  • High order volume
  • Events outside our reasonable control

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional shipping charges may apply when an order must be rerouted or reshipped because of an incorrect address supplied by the customer.

Title to and risk of loss for shipped products transfer as provided by applicable law and the applicable carrier's terms. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

10. Local Pickup and Third-Party Delivery

Local pickup may be offered only at participating locations and for eligible products. Availability, preparation times, and pickup procedures may vary.

Customers should wait for pickup confirmation before traveling to the location. Orders not collected within a reasonable period may be handled according to our Refund Policy and food-safety requirements.

Orders placed through DoorDash, Uber Eats, or another third-party platform may be governed by that platform's terms, refund procedures, fees, and support processes. Concerns about payment or delivery for a third-party order may need to be submitted directly through the platform where the order was placed.

11. Custom Cakes, Catering, Wholesale, and Special Orders

Custom cakes, catering, corporate gifts, wholesale orders, large-volume purchases, and other special orders may require:

  • Advance notice
  • A deposit or full payment
  • Final written approval
  • Minimum quantities
  • Separate pricing
  • Additional terms or agreements

Custom cake requests are handled by phone and are subject to location capacity and availability. Same-day service is not guaranteed.

Deposits and payments for customized, personalized, made-to-order, perishable, or specially sourced products may be nonrefundable once preparation, ordering, or production has begun, except where otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.

Submitting an inquiry does not reserve a date, guarantee availability, or create a binding order. A special order is confirmed only when Royal Roastery provides confirmation and any required payment has been received.

12. Refunds, Returns, and Order Problems

Refunds, returns, cancellations, damaged products, incorrect orders, and other concerns are governed by our Refund Policy.

Because our products include food and perishable goods, we generally cannot accept food returns or place returned food back into inventory.

If an online order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • A description of the problem
  • Clear photographs of the product and packaging when applicable

Submitting a claim does not automatically guarantee a refund or replacement. We will review each eligible concern according to the circumstances, our Refund Policy, and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights provided by law.

13. Gift Cards

Gift cards are subject to the terms displayed at purchase and applicable law.

Gift cards:

  • Have no cash value except where required by law
  • May not be replaced if lost, stolen, or used without authorization unless required by law
  • May not be used to purchase another gift card unless expressly permitted
  • May be limited to the sales channel, location, or system through which they were issued

Online Shopify gift cards and in-store or point-of-sale gift cards may operate through separate systems and may not be interchangeable unless expressly stated.

14. Promotions and Discount Codes

Discounts, coupons, promotions, giveaways, loyalty benefits, free-shipping offers, and special offers may have separate terms, eligibility rules, expiration dates, geographic restrictions, and exclusions.

Unless expressly stated:

  • Promotions cannot be combined
  • Discounts cannot be applied retroactively
  • Offers have no cash value
  • Promotions are subject to availability
  • Excluded products, taxes, delivery fees, and shipping charges do not count toward minimum-purchase requirements

We may modify, suspend, or cancel a promotion when permitted by law, including in cases of error, fraud, abuse, technical malfunction, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

15. Royal Rewards

Royal Rewards may be available through participating Royal Roastery locations and may require in-store enrollment.

Rewards participation, point accumulation, redemption, birthday offers, discounts, and other benefits are subject to the program rules presented at enrollment or through the participating point-of-sale provider.

Points, rewards, and benefits:

  • Have no cash value
  • Cannot be sold or transferred unless expressly permitted
  • May be subject to expiration, exclusions, or account-verification requirements
  • May differ from Shopify customer accounts or online-store benefits

We may update or discontinue the rewards program in accordance with applicable law. Suspected fraud, account manipulation, or abuse may result in the loss of benefits or termination of participation.

16. Email Marketing

If you subscribe to Royal Roastery email marketing, you may receive messages about product releases, special offers, events, café news, and other Royal Roastery updates.

You may unsubscribe at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link included in a marketing email.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or service-related communications, such as order confirmations, shipping notices, account notices, or responses to customer-service requests.

17. SMS Marketing Program

Program description and consent

By separately and expressly opting in to Royal Roastery SMS marketing, you agree to receive recurring automated promotional and personalized marketing text messages from Royal Roastery at the mobile telephone number you provided.

Messages may include:

  • Product releases and limited drops
  • Special offers and promotions
  • Event announcements
  • Café news
  • Royal Roastery updates
  • Personalized marketing messages

Consent to receive SMS marketing is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message frequency and fees

Message frequency varies.

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile service plan. Royal Roastery does not charge a separate subscription fee for receiving marketing messages, but your wireless carrier may impose charges.

Opting out and receiving assistance

You may withdraw SMS marketing consent at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in a message or, where supported, replying STOP.

After opting out, you may receive one final message confirming that your request was processed. Your opt-out request applies to marketing messages from the applicable Royal Roastery SMS program.

Subscriber responsibilities

By enrolling, you represent that:

  • You are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided
  • You are authorized to provide consent for that number
  • The information you submit is accurate
  • You will notify us or opt out if your number changes or is reassigned

If your mobile number changes or is transferred to another person, you should opt out before discontinuing use of the number.

Carriers and delivery

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier availability, network conditions, device compatibility, and other factors outside Royal Roastery's control.

Not all carriers or devices may be supported.

Program changes

Royal Roastery may modify, suspend, or discontinue the SMS Marketing Program, message content, or message frequency at any time, subject to applicable law.

Your participation in the SMS Marketing Program is governed by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which explains how subscriber information, telephone numbers, consent records, and communication preferences are collected, stored, used, and disclosed.

Mobile information and SMS consent records will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Reviews, Feedback, and User Submissions

If you submit a review, photograph, comment, suggestion, testimonial, social-media mention, or other content to Royal Roastery, you represent that:

  • You created or have permission to submit the content
  • The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • The content does not violate another person's rights
  • The content is not unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, or obscene

Unless otherwise agreed, you grant Royal Roastery a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, display, adapt, and share the submitted content for business, customer-service, marketing, and promotional purposes, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

We are not obligated to publish or retain user-submitted content and may remove content that violates these Terms.

19. Intellectual Property

All Royal Roastery trademarks, trade names, logos, crowns, photographs, videos, packaging, product names, designs, graphics, recipes where protectable, website content, written copy, and other brand materials are owned by or licensed to Royal Roastery.

No content from our website or services may be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, distributed, sold, displayed, scraped, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Limited personal use of the website does not transfer ownership or grant a license to use Royal Roastery intellectual property for another purpose.

20. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website and operations may rely on third-party providers for:

This disclaimer does not exclude warranties or consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Royal Roastery and its owners, officers, employees, representatives, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or related to:

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from pursuing a claim in small claims court when eligible or exercising rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

25. Force Majeure

Royal Roastery will not be responsible for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, utility outages, internet disruption, labor disputes, supply shortages, carrier interruptions, government actions, public-health emergencies, or similar events.

This provision does not excuse obligations that cannot legally be limited.

26. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our products, services, business practices, technology, or legal obligations.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes become effective when posted unless otherwise stated or required by law.

Your continued use of the website or services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access to our website or services if you materially violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or create a security or legal risk.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and any additional terms presented for a particular product, promotion, or service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Royal Roastery regarding your use of the applicable website and services.

If specific written terms for a custom, wholesale, corporate, catering, or other special order conflict with these general Terms, the specific written terms will control for that transaction.
